JVC security products now supported by Nextiva 6.0 firmware
JVC's V. Networks series are self-contained IP units which include an encoder for transmitting data and streaming video to Nextiva. As they connect
directly to a standard IP network switch which is connected to a Nextiva Recorder Server or the Master Recorder, the built-in firmware uses the Video Services over IP (VSIP) protocol
for communicating with the Nextiva system.
VSIP is a Verint proprietary protocol that integrates with leading compression, communication, and IP-security standards. Since it is the standard for all Nextiva devices, the
integration is seamless and means that no additional software or hardware is required.
JVC’s integrated cameras have the full features of any other VSIP cameras in Nextiva, and with the added benefit of various features like, live and playback video which
allows you to view live and recorded video in Nextiva Review, plus video querying which enables users to send requests for playback video recorded on a JVC camera, users will
be able to get the most out of their security system.
Supported JVC cameras:
Please note JVC’s VN-V686 and VN-V686BU both require different firmware. The VN-V686BU firmware has a protection that denies VN-686 firmware.
